A digital Gottlieb arcade classic... DRAGON!  This game was produced in 1978 by Gottlieb, creator of the most popular pinball machines on the planet! This game was incredibly popular when new due to the classic Gottlieb style gameplay and also due to the ever-popular fantasy theme. This game was actually created when Gottlieb was switching over from mechanical to digital based games and was one of the very first Gottlieb electronic pinball games.  This was one of the very first games to feature digital sound, eliminating the old-fashioned chime box.  Dragon was one of Gottlieb's best selling titles of the late 70's.  The fabulous artwork on this game makes it a delight to look at even when you're not playing it!  Who doesn't love to blast away at the most unique of pinball features... the vari-target!

You'll love the "futuristic" digital sound that was considered state-of-the-art at the time the game was created.  This game has all of the classic features that made Gottlieb great, but one of the best features on this game is the patented Gottlieb "vari-target".  This little invention allows the players shot accuracy to dictate the scoring.  The further back you can push the target arm, the more you'll score!  A wimpy glance off the target face will get low points, but make a direct strong hit and shove that baby way back for the BIG POINTS.  Then, watch as it magically resets itself into striking position for the next whack!  Hit the other targets and rollovers to build your bonus ladder in the center of the field for big points at the end of your round.  Different levels on the bonus ladder will also cause the EXTRA BALL and SPECIAL targets to light up!  Complete the A, B, C, D rollovers to increase your bonus multiplier from 2X to 5X!  From the vari-targets, to the pop bumpers and slingshot kickers, to the rollovers and center SPINNER, this playfield has a fast playing and well thought out design that will keep you entertained and challenged for hours at a time. Most pinball enthusiasts agree that Gottlieb made the best playing single-level playfield designs and this game is timeless. This classic and family-friendly theme goes great in any home gameroom!

This is a BEAUTIFUL game!  The playfield on this game is in excellent condition because it has a clear mylar protective coat that was installed when the game was in it's infancy.  The plastics are in good condition with a few minor chips or cracks.  The drop targets are in excellent original condition and have been fully serviced.  The silk-screen painted and mirrored backglass is in excellent original condition with almost no flaking in the paint.  The cabinet is in excellent condition with minor blemishes.  See below for the full list of what has been done to this game.  This game plays lightning fast just like it did in 1978!
