Get ready for some high-flying action with... OPERATION THUNDER!  This game was produced in 1992 by Gottlieb, creator of some of the most popular pinball machines on the planet!  Gottlieb was known for creating some of the truly fun games during the 90's.  They came up with great titles like Cactus Jacks, Surf N Safari and Operation Thunder to quench the players never ending thirst for pinball action.  Operation Thunder is the epitome of what pinball should be... a great theme with fabulous artwork and a very easy to understand, yet challenging set of playing rules.  This game was produced in limited quantity with only about 2,500 units out of the factory, making it a somewhat rare title.  I believe this is because Gottlieb was gearing up to release their first dot-matrix display games.  Operation Thunder was Gottlieb's very last game that utilized the tried and true alpha-numeric display technology.  Everyone that plays this game agrees that it's a real blast!  So get ready to hit the skies, attack the enemy, and more importantly... score BIG POINTS!

Listen to your commanders as they talk to you and clue you in on what parts of the playfield you need to visit.  Plunge the ball up the playfield into the POWER PLANT with it's rapidly spinning disc which will throw your ball into the surrounding targets.  Fire your pinball up the ramps or into the various sinkholes which are peppered around the field.  Blast away at the ENEMY TANK drop-targets or go for the VARI-TARGET or the SPINNER to try and complete your missions.  Complete all of your missions in sequence and enter the FINAL ASSAULT mode and be promoted to a FIVE STAR GENERAL!  That's just the start... this playfield has an incredibly entertaining and well thought design that will keep you challenged for hours at a time.  Between all of the ramps, kickers, targets, capture holes, slingshots, pop-bumpers and more, you'll never get bored with this machine and the classic theme goes great in any home gameroom!

A simply beautiful Operation Thunder game!  Generally if you can even find this title, it will have a severely worn playfield, broken ramps and plastics and a beat-up cabinet.  The playfield on this game is in excellent condition due to the installation of a clear mylar protective layer that was installed over most of the playfield when the game was new.  The often broken ramps and plastics are in fantastic condition with minor imperfections.  The playfield has been disassembled and given a detailed cleaning with all lights, switches and solenoids tested.  The backglass artwork translight is in exceptional condition.  The cabinet is very nice with minor of imperfections and some touch-ups.  The chrome legs have been polished and brand new levelers were installed.  The game plays lightning fast just like it did in 1992!

Here are just some of the things that were done to this machine:

    * All circuit boards have been fully tested and inspected
    * Any burned coils have been replaced
    * Fuses checked for proper type and value
    * Cabinet is cleaned inside and out
    * All glass and glass channels have been cleaned
    * Chrome legs have been polished
    * BRAND NEW leg levelers (feet) installed
    * BRAND NEW coin door lock installed
    * Shooter rebuilt with new springs
    * All playfield lamp inserts have been cleaned
    * Playfield has been disassembled, detailed and polished
    * New lamps and fresh rubber were installed
    * Slingshots and bumpers have serviced as needed
    * Flippers have been serviced as needed
    * BRAND NEW lower flipper bats installed
    * Slingshot plastic protectors installed
    * BRAND NEW mirror-finish balls have been installed
    * A full diagnostic test and software configuration was performed
    * Spare light bulbs are provided
